History
Norcare was established in 1984 to provide supported housing and community based support services for vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
In its first few years of operation, Norcare focused on support for ex-offenders and people at risk of offending. In the last 15 years this work has expanded to encompass people with a range of needs including those experiencing mental ill health, victims of violence, people who misuse drugs or alcohol and people with low educational achievement.
Today Norcare is a well established, highly professional organisation with a turnover in excess of £2.8 million. Norcare employs more than 80 staff and has a pool of experienced volunteers. Norcare offers over 125 supported housing bed spaces and 135 floating support spaces funded by the national Supporting People programme.
